Disney has announced that their popular streaming service will be arriving in the Middle East and North Africa from the 8th of June. They have also revealed the prices for each of the specific countries. Earlier this year Disney CEO Bob Chapek first announced the streamer’s plan to launch in the region in the Summer of 2022.

Disney Plus launching on June 8th

Disney Plus will be launching in 42 countries this summer including: Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, North Macedonia, Oman, Palestine, Poland, Qatar, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Vatican City and Yemen.

The release date for the Middle East and North Africa is the 8th of June, while the streamer will launch in South Africa from the 4th.

Disney+ released a statement saying that “Users will have access to high-quality viewing, up to four concurrent streams, unlimited downloads on up to 10 devices, Imax Enhanced for selected titles (where available) and the ability to set up to seven different profiles, including the ability for parents to set Kids Profiles that have an easy-to-navigate child-friendly interface to access age-appropriate content,”.

Disney Plus will be premiering it’s newest Original Marvel Series Moon Knight from March 30, with the Obi Wan Kenobi set to premier on the 26th of May and the first Pakistani Muslim superhero series Ms.Marvel set to premier June 8th with the launch of the streaming service in the MENA region. We have long speculated that this may have been their plan, to have their first Muslim Superhero series as a launch title for when the streamer launches in the region.
